Tomoku Hus AB in Dalarna is one of Sweden's largest manufacturers of wooden house components with a focus on wall blocks, windows and French doors which also form the basis of our house models Dalecarlian Classic Homes and our HELGBO Attefall house .
Tomoku Hus has been in Insjön since 1991 and is located next to the Österdal River in the municipality of Leksand. At this historic site, houses have been manufactured since the 1920s.
Japan is our main market and all sales there take place within the Japanese group to which Tomoku Hus AB belongs.
Environment
We work actively to reduce our environmental impact. Waste and scrap wood are processed into biofuel. Other waste is sorted into fractions in accordance with ISO 14001.
This also involves finding more environmentally friendly alternatives to our chemicals and solvents. All wood packaging used for export is approved in accordance with ISPM 15.
A large part of Tomoku Hus products are delivered in containers. The transport takes place by rail in Sweden and is then loaded onto container ships for further transport to the relevant destination. Carbon dioxide emissions are kept at the lowest possible level.

Friendship between the Siljan region and Japan
Tomoku Hus AB is one of the co-founders of the Siljan Japan Foundation, established in 2005. The foundation’s purpose is to promote and develop relations between the Siljan region and Japan. An important part of this work is to support youth and student exchange between the Siljan region and Japan, as well as to encourage cooperation within the business sector.
As a company with roots in Japan but with all operations based in the Siljan region, we aim to contribute to increased exchange and understanding between the two countries.
